Go ogle docs if function- extracting data after the result is found?

#039;m trying to make a document... And having problems. I have 2 sets of data extractions per line, and I want to put the lowest number which has been extracted to be shown in another, third cell. The if function at the moment is '=if(f3 > G,"=g3","=f3")' it works fine, however, at the end in the final box it shows either '=g3' or '=f3' i need it to show the contents of the cell itself how can I do this? You're a genius, thanks a ton

Answer: Don't put the "=g3" in quotes. Just enter it if(f3>g3, G, f3) by putting it in quotes you're telling it you want to show a "string" of "=g3". It would be like saying "john" or "hello". Items in double quotes will be treated as a string, not as a cell reference.

How to extract multiple variables from a single string in visual basic 6?

I'm trying to extract variables out of this line |7 colored fish|8|sdj|fish|water|4||1800|800|a rare rainbow fish that has never been caught by mortal man. |0| the variables are between the |'s this is my code (the text is already stored in the string) public function extract(byval text in as string, optional start tag as string = " ", optional by val end tag as string = " ", optional by val check case as boolean) as string on error go to localerror ' extracts text from string using start and end "tags" 'nb: if end tag is omitted the entire string from: ' start tag to entrusting is returned... Dim Larry as variant extract = "" Larry = split(textin, starttag) if isarray(larray) then extract = larray(1) Larry = split(extract, endtag) if isarray(larray) then extract = larray(0) else extract = "" end if end if exit function localerror: extract = "" end function private sub command1_click() if dir("test. Txt") <> "" then plenum = freefile dim text line as string dim extracted as string dim extracted as string dim extracted as string open "test. Txt" for input as filenum input #filenum, textline extracted = extract(textline, "|", "|", felse) text. Text = extracted close filenum end if end sub can anybody help? This will extract the name "7 colored fish" from the line, but I dint know how to get the rest of the variables.

Answer: Dim s() as string s = split(textin, "|") 'then, 's(0) = "" 's(1) = 7 colored fish 's(2) = 8 'etc.

How do I access an associative array in php?

E code: function extract_table_resource() { $sql_query = mysql_query("show tables"); return $sql_query; } function extract_table_names() { $table_resource = extract_table_resource(); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($table_resource) { $current_table = $row["tables_in_database"]; echo "<a class's = 'thread' ref = contentment. Php? Table=$current_table>"; echo $current_table; echo "</a>"; echo "</br>"; } } I want to be able to use a variable to access the contents of the associative array $row, without having to type "tables_in_database" i've tried combining two strings so they say "tables_in_database" but Phip wants none of that. Is there another way to make it accept a variable?

Answer: While your function isn't going to work as you wrote it, i'll just consider it an example of what you are trying to do. You have one option to access associative arrays when you do not know the key: foreach ( $array as $key => $value ){ echo $key. ' : '. $value. '<b r />'; } if you want to create an array with available table names: $tablearr = array(); $sql = mysql_query( "show tables"); while ( $row = mysql_fetch_array($sql) $tablearr[$row[0]] = ''; foreach($tablearr as $tablename => $v){ echo '<a href="link. Php? Table='. $tablename. '" classs="thread">'; echo $tablename. '</a><b r />'; } but that is not as efficient as this: while ( $row = mysql_fetch_array($sql) $tablearr[] = $row[0]; foreach($tablearr as $tablename){ echo '<a href="link. Php? Table='. $tablename. '" classs="thread">'; echo $tablename. '</a><b r />'; }

String tooknization?

Ute a function called parse sentence that takes as input parameter a null terminated string s. Where s would contain an English sentence. Assume that the delimiters are space, comma, semicolon and period. The function extracts each word from the sentence (without any punctuation or spacings) and then re-prints the words in alphabetical order. The function returns a void. Example: parsesentence("hello world, how are you today. "); would print the following: are hello how today world you

Answer: I think you are using java. Well, you can use the string organizer, and put the stuff in a tree list. And then, print it out directly. You'll get it in sorted order. If you don't want to use string organizer, use a string. Split with space, comma, dot and other punctuation as the input for the organization character. Guess it should be everything other than numbers and characters. Hath. :)

Cell qustions! Pl help I need this as fast as possible! Who ever gives the best answer 10 points?

How would you describe basic cell functions (extracting food, using, energy, and getting rid of wastse)? 2) how are specialized cells different ( blood cells, bone cells, leaf tissue)? 3) how can you demonstrate that living things are made mostly of cells? Please give me deep information I need this badly!

Answer: 1) the cell machinery is essentially the answer here. For example, lysine's are what cleans up waste and degenerative cell parts which get recycled. Cellular respiration, by using glucose, is the source of all cellular energy called adenine phosphate (atp) 2) specialized cells are all tagged with a specific protein which identifies that cell. For example, the major complex (mhc) on cells allows for "self" identification. This is why you get organ jettison on a transplant. 3) use a microscope. Any microscope will reveal that any and all structures are made up of cellular components.
