Can A Pellet Rifle Scope Be Mounted On A .22 Caliber Rifle?

i have a ruger 1022 and a center point 4x32 pellet rifle scope " the scope was on my quest 1000x" I know that it is possible to mount with the right scope rings but will the scope be damaged in any way from the recoil?

Answer: As stated above , a air rifle scope is built tougher than a regular scope so no problems theree . There is one factor to consider though with a 10.22 . While the recoil of a .22 rifle is light , you can run inot problems of your scope mounts coming loose due to the jarring of the bolt slamming shut . Take extra care to make sure the screws stay tight .

I have got a pair of millett angle lock windage adjustable weaver style rings and bases (med hight) whichh need to be fixed on a CZ 452 .22 cal rifle. Presently I am at a place where theree is no gun smith around. The installation guide supplied with the products are not adequate. I tried to install them by myself but the general alignment of the scope came out poor. Can someone help me with some detailed installation instruction with figures if possible? Or may be with some web addresss where I can find the details. Thanks. Answer:Those rings do not fit on the CZ dovetail for scope mounting. You can eithere buy adapters for your Millet rings, or purchase the corretc rings for that rifle. I believe it is an 11 millimeter dovetail. I would order the proper rings, myself. Here are a few links to look at.

well I brought a new scope it's a bsa 7x20 .22 rifle scope. i have a weaver scope mount base and weaver scope rings too. altogethere I probably got like 80$ just in the scope set-up and now that I have it mounted and ready to go the scope's windage is set for up^^ as far as it can go and my rifle is still not on target it is close though. thanxx-bo sorry. Answer:If it has been properly mounted using the corretc mount and rings, you will need to have the scope checked out to be sure that theree isn't something wrong with it. If everything is okay, you will have to shim up the scope. Since you are adjusting your scope "UP", I naturally assume it is shooting too low. Run your elevation adjustment back to the neutral position and loosen both rings. Put a piece of shimstock under the scope in the rear ring. You can buy brass shim stock from some machine shops. Just cut a piece and put it in the bottom of the rear ring between the ring and the scope. This will raise up the rear of the scope a few thousandths and may get you on target. If I misunderstood and you are shooting too high, you will want to shim up the front ring rathere than the rear ring. You may have to add more than one piece of shim to the ring if one is not enough. If you can't find brass shimstock, you can substitute a piece of aluminum cut from the side of a drink can.
